The inaugural function started at 10 am with rendering of Tamizh Thai Vaazhthu. After the rendition Mr. V Thangappan, Divisional Manager – AMFL, Tirunelveli Division gave the welcome speech. In the speech Mr.V Thangappan welcomed and thanked Mr. S.V. Raja Vaidhyanathan, Chairman, ADF, Mr. K. P. D. Prabhakaran, M. Com, B.L., State Vice President, Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu and Mrs. Esakki Ammal, Head Mistress, The Hindu Primary School, for taking out time and honoring the event and also welcomed members of AMPL and public. After the welcome address, Mr. V Thangappan honored Mr.S.V. Raja Vaidyanathan, Mr. K.P.D. Prabhakaran and Mrs. Esakki Ammal by draping the shawl of honor (Ponnadai).

After the welcome address, Mr. S.V. Raja Vaidyanathan addressed the audience. He spoke about the the vision and mission activities and ADF in detail about of ADF. He also spoke about the education support provided by ADF to poor and students of single parenthood. He also talked about health, eye and dental camps that are being conducted under the aegis of ADF and also urged AMPL beneficiaries and General public to benefit from these camps. Then, Chairman congratulated and awarded toppers of Higher Secondary School board exams among the children of AMPL members, from the three operational districts under Tirunelveli division. He awarded cheques of Rs 10,000 to toppers and Rs 5,000 to second rank holders.
