Asirvad Development Foundation (ADF), a Chennai based public charity trust has organized a free eye screening camp in Madurai South District, in one of the branches ofAsirvad Microfinance Pvt Ltd (AMPL), Chennai. The Camp was well organized byAsirvad Development Foundation on 11thJune 2011 by the ADF - Madurai Divisional Co-ordinator, Mr. M. Sekaran.

Free eye screening camp was collaborated withDr.Nainar Eye Hospital, Madurai. Medical team under the leadership of Dr.BalaBharathi, Dr.LingeshwaranandtheCamp Co-ordinator conducted the camp for us. The total number of patients was 160 people from beneficiaries of AMPL Madurai North Branch, general community and the relatives of the AMPL beneficiaries from the nearby area.

Camp coordination was successfully done with the help of AMPL’s – Madurai Division’s Area Manger and mutually supported by the Branch Manager Mr.K.Saravanan The Field Development Officers (FDOs) mobilized the patients and helped us run the camp successfully.

The overwhelming response from the participants of the camp and the dedication of the Camp Medical Team from Dr. Nainar Eye Hospital, Madurai has encouraged the organizers in performing more charity endeavors in the Madurai Division of AMPL. We are ever grateful for everyone involved with us in this noble cause.
